NYX UK presents seventeen premieres in June, headed up on June 6th at 9pm, including the World Premiere of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST: EXPOSED, a talking heads documentary, produced by FrightFest TV, featuring Alan Jones and Kim Newman, who delve into the controversial 1980 film Cannibal Holocaust, notorious for its graphic violence and ethical issues surrounding real animal killings and perceived treatment of indigenous peoples. Jones and Newman discuss the cultural impact, ongoing controversy, and the boundaries of horror cinema that the director Ruggero Deodato and his film tested. This movie, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST follows at 10pm.

Other primetime channel premieres include Carlos Aured’s gothic gorefest HORROR RISES FROM THE TOMB, Brit explicit horror HOUSE ON STRAW HILL, starring Udo Kier, Linda Hayden and Fiona Richmond (June 7), the haunting indie chiller JUG FACE (June 13), grotesque anthology masterpiece THE THEATRE BIZARRE, with segments from Tom Savini and Richard Stanley, (June 14), teen werewolf horror WILD COUNTRY (June 20), Canadian horror-comedy DEAD DICKS (June 27) and Ti West’s dread-filled TRIGGER MAN (June 28)

The channel also celebrates the birthday of the master of gore, Lucio Fulci, on June 17 with two of his greatest films, CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD and HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY.

NYX UK will also be marking National Indigenous Peoples Day with clips throughout the evening with Indigenous filmmakers and includes the channel premiere of Canadian supernatural thriller DON’T SAY ITS NAME (June 21).
